Steve

Managing Director and Chairman of the Board, Steve Lawson BEng

Since entering the training and development arena in the mid-nineties, Steve has managed the design and implementation of numerous learning and change programmes in the banking, airline and pharmaceutical sectors in the UK and overseas markets.

In addition to his programme management role in Hiltrain, Steve's focus is on developing the capability of our core team and enhancing the range of services we provide our clients.

Pat

Director Patricia Irvine BSc, PGCE

Pat has researched and designed successful training programmes for a number of multi-national clients in a wide variety of market sectors. She brings to the role an insight into how people learn and what motivates learners - insight enhanced by a career in further and higher education.

With particular expertise in analysis, organisation and writing, Pat specializes in producing paper-based learning, video scripts and text for e-learning.

Abbi

Director Abbi Hay BA, MEd (Open) Lifelong Learning

Abbi has worked in the field of training and development for the last 8 years. During that time she has been involved in a wide spectrum of training initiatives. Recent projects have seen her travelling as far afield as Tanzania and the Seychelles to facilitate sales workshops. More close to home, she has worked on the production of a number of health and safety videos for the Banking industry and an induction programme for hotel sales staff.

In 2003 Abbi successfully completed her Masters in Education. During her study Abbi carried out a number of research projects looking at the psychology of learning and the efficacy of different training media in post-compulsory education.

Colin

Finance Director and Company Secretary, Colin Irvine MA, MSc, FCCA

Colin has held management posts in both the public and private sectors for nearly 40 years, plus a research post at Durham University Business School studying the evaluation of management development programmes.

Iain

IT Director Iain Hay BSc, MRSC

After many years working within the Pharmaceutical industry in a cGMP environment and subsequent sales roles working closely with big pharma R&D Iain is now applying his IT skills to support Hiltrain.

Whilst leading the IT function at Hiltrain Iain also brings valuable knowledge and experience from his big pharma background into the team which has been working with major pharmaceutical clients as a training provider for several years.
