The swimming school was expanding so fast that its MD was concerned about consistency in the practice of his swimming teachers. He realised that he could no longer train all the teachers himself but he was resolute that the company’s unique philosophy should be upheld and its particular training methods maintained. He wanted a professional teacher training programme that could, in time, be led by his senior teachers.
The Hiltrain team worked with him and his staff to produce a comprehensive induction programme involving pre-course reading, a two-day workshop and a mentoring scheme. We even developed waterproof lesson plans that teachers could take along to the pool. The result was an enthusiastic set of teachers who understand and ably apply the company’s methods.
